LUK HO HAI MY<\/strong> is a Vietnamese filmmaker based in Saigon, Viet Nam. She graduated with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Film Directing from the Ho Chi Minh Academy of Theatre and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driven by a deep passion for cinema, My believes that film is a medium that can awaken empathy and inspire audiences through both familiar and untold stories. Her works often stand out for their distinctive aesthetic, strong sense of color and lighting, and the use of intimate monologues and immersive atmospheres that bring audiences closer to the emotional core of each story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her debut short film, LOVELINE<\/em><\/strong> (2021), which was also her graduation project, received a scholarship from the Ho Chi Minh City Film Association Fund. The film went on to win 13 awards and was screened at over five festivals and curated events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the pandemic, she created STATUE<\/em><\/strong> (2022), a visual poem that was officially selected for the 10th International Video Poetry Festival in Greece (2022). Later that year, her short film _YOU ARE THE S<\/strong>*T_** (2022), shot entirely on a mobile phone, won the Best Photography Global Award<\/strong> at the Visual Creator Vivo Awards 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her stop-motion animation BAC LIEU DANDY<\/em><\/strong> (2022), developed as a concept piece for a feature film of the same name, also received enthusiastic responses from audiences. In early 2023, her short documentary How Are You These Days?<\/em><\/strong> (2023), about artist Tran Quang Dai, was featured on NOWNESS ASIA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, she is developing her first feature film along with several short and animated projects that continue to explore themes of memory, identity, and emotional connection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
